We’re Listening

Psychotherapy

Celene Bridgford Addington, MA, LPCC

I believe an effective therapeutic relationship is rooted in deep listening and attunement. We are all shaped by our lived experience and eventually by conflict and loss but your stories are unique, and within them is the power to heal. As a psychodynamically-oriented therapist, my focus is on the whole you, not just your thoughts, feelings and behaviors but their meaning for you— after all you are the expert on your life.

My therapy practice is a mutually committed relationship that fosters insight into psychological distress and helps you find meaning in your lived experiences and relationships. Let’s do this together!

Psychiatric Medication and Management

Roy Addington, DNP, PMHNP

Maybe you’ve tried medication for depression or anxiety because your primary care doctor recommended it but you stopped taking it because of the side effects. Maybe you’ve been taking medication for a while and you felt better so you stopped taking it—now you are starting to feel symptoms again but you don’t want to start all over again with a new provider who doesn’t understand what you’re going through. Maybe your symptoms are stable on your current medication for ADHD or anxiety but your provider retired and you feel judged when you have tried to establish care somewhere else.

Finding the right medication and psychiatric support can feel overwhelming— and let’s face it, the physical and psychological symptoms of depression, anxiety and ADHD don’t leave you with a lot of extra energy to navigate all of this. Let me help! I have over 25 years caring for patients with physical and psychological needs in primary care, family practice and acute care settings. I believe psychological and biological health go hand-in-hand. My clinical practice is centered on listening to your experience and working with you to find the right medications to support your mental and physical wellbeing.
